Standards for Student Behavior Students in 4th through 8th grade receive a grade in behavior and work study habits at the end of each week that follows our A through F grading scale. Students begin the week with an “A”. However, when a student makes a poor choice, he/she receives a mark on their card and their grade is lowered to an “A-”, etc. Students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade follow the same system as students in 4th through 8th grade.
However, in addition to receiving a mark, a student pulls a card each time he/she makes a poor choice. Pulling a card provides an immediate consequence for a student who makes a poor choice. Students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade receive a grade (that follows the M-T grading scale) in behavior and work study habits at the end of each week. Teachers, administrators, and staff reserve the right to “give” more than one mark at a time depending on the offense. Conduct cards are returned to the students on Monday and are to be returned signed by parent or guardian on Tuesday. If a student fails to get their conduct card signed, he/she will receive one mark each day the card is not returned.
