SCHOOL HOURS
The bell rings at 8:00 AM. Anyone who arrives after the bell rings will receive a “TARDY” slip. Monday through Thursday, the school day ends at 2:45 PM. On Friday, school ends at 12:30 PM.

BREAKFAST/LUNCH PROGRAM
The school participates in the Government Food Program. The price of breakfast and lunch, free or reduced-price meals, is determined by the family’s annual salary and government guidelines. Milk is included. LUNCH/BREAKFAST MONEY: When billed, lunch/breakfast payment can be made in person in the school office. Payment may also be sent in an envelope marked with the child's name, grade and a copy of the invoice so it is applied accordingly. Times for Recess and Lunch will be revised/announced before the 2024-2025 school year starts.

Our Mission at St. Vincent School is to work in partnership with families. Together with our families we form a partnership in child(ren)’s education journey. We ask for a commitment from ALL our families to participate FULLY at SVS. Our SVS Parent Participation Program is as follows:
SERVICE HOURS
Each family is asked to contribute Thirty (30) hours of service per school year. Please note that if you or any other adult is volunteering with children you will be required to have the following: Updated Virtus Training Certificate and fingerprints. You must present all documentation prior to volunteering.
Breakdown of Service Hours is as follows:
TWENTY (20) Regular Service Hours MUST be directly related to St. Vincent School activities. These hours are designed for you to grow in your faith in our community.
Setup of events: Grandparents Day, Dia de San Vicente, Jog-a-thon, Posadas, Trunk or Treat, Muffins for Moms, Donuts for Dads, chaperoning a field trip, Graduation Committee, parent meetings, cleaning after events, and many others
Fundraisers (sort popcorn, coffee and coordinate passing them out)
Volunteer at: Casa Milagrosa, St. Francis Center (must be pre-approved)
Coaching
Yard Duty
Monitors: Car line, Pedestrian, Parish Gate
Washing tablecloths
Decorating school or classrooms for holidays
Morning Carline
Cleaning of the school/grounds
Parents may apply their Special Talents to do their service hours (carpenter, seamstress, painter, electricians, plumbers, gardeners, etc.). Please contact us to let us know how you can use your talents at St. Vincent School.

Guidelines for completing Parent Service Hours:
Hours must be completed by May 30, 2025.
Credit is given on an actual hour-per-hour basis.
Excess hours do not carry over to the next school year.
To receive credit for an activity, it is the responsibility of the volunteer to sign in with the Event Coordinator.
For families who are unable to participate by working an event, they may donate items, including supplies for Class/Club activities, office and maintenance supplies or equipment, gift cards (Office Depot, Staples, Smart & Final, Amazon) etc. For every $20 in value, one hour will be credited. Receipts must be submitted for verification purposes.
All service hours need to be done by parents or an adult assigned by the parent. No one under the age of 18 may do the hours.
You may buyout at $20/per hour for a total of $600 due by May 30, 2025.
After May 30, 2025 all unfulfilled regular hours will be billed at $20 per hour and added to your TADS account.
MEETINGS
Parents MUST attend ALL meetings called by the Principal, Teacher or Parent Board. There will be no exceptions. One Service Hour per family will be given for attending. Parents MUST use the Exit Ticket at the end of the meeting for attendance if the meeting is conducted via Zoom. If the meeting is in person, parents must sign out with a school representative. A $20.00 fee will be charged via TADS for not attending meetings and the Parent-Teacher Conferences in the 1st Trimester and 2nd Trimester (as needed).
