Extracurricular Activities Outside of the classroom, St. Vincent School students have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of extra-curricular activities. These activities nurture students and contribute to the development of the whole person: body, mind, and spirit. St. Vincent School’s extra-curricular programs promote faith, service, leadership, fellowship, knowledge, athleticism, creativity, and fine arts. Each activity is under the guidance and leadership of a faculty or staff member, a parent, or a trained volunteer. Activities operate on set schedules during the school year. Extra-Curricular Participation Policy In order for students to participate in any extra-curricular activity – including try-outs or practice – they must have a participation slip signed by all of their classroom teachers, parent/guardian, and the principal. A student may not participate if he/she has a “D” or an “F” in academics or conduct. The classroom teacher will monitor the student’s progress. The classroom teachers, principal, or coach can suspend participation privileges at any time during the trimester if a student’s academic performance is below level or if his/her behavior is inappropriate.
