St. Vincent School is one of four Catholic elementary schools in Southern California that is sponsored by the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul. With a membership of more than 17,000 Catholic Sisters worldwide, the Daughters of Charity touch lives through the ministries of education, health care, social and pastoral services. St. Vincent School was opened in 1911 by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, who staffed the school until 1987. The Daughters of Charity are proud to be part of St. Vincent School’s 106-year history since 1997. In 2003, the Daughters of Charity further confirmed their commitment to the school by entering into a Co-Sponsorship Agreement with the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. With the guidance of the Daughters of Charity, St. Vincent School’s mission is to provide the finest education in an inclusive Catholic community of faith. In the spirit of our Vincentian founders, St. Vincent de Paul, St. Louise de Marillac, and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, St. Vincent School will continue to minister to underserved families and educate students to lead, serve, and grow to their full potential as beloved children of God. God Bless.
